Scouting Report
Can Manuel "Manny" Rodriguez make plays for his team?
Absolutely, '26 Rodriguez is ready to go, whether it’s on defense, offense, or special teams: he just wants to help the team win.
That has shone through in all the offseason work he has been doing in preparation for a grueling first season. Plus, at just 13-years-old, he is already 5-10, 195-pounds, and has already started to grow into his frame.
In the classroom, Rodriguez is also a star: he has a 3.8 GPA and is looking forward to building a solid academic career. He has plans to go to a very good university, and it shows with all the time he puts into his schoolwork.
Here is a scouting report on the incoming freshman from a coach who has worked with him:
“He's nowhere near the size he will be in a couple years, but we are excited by what we have seen so far in the summer workouts. He has a very good motor and is always in and around the play. He has a good nose for the ball, and a good read on the defensive schemes from what I have seen.
“It will be very interesting to see what kind of impact he can have this year, but he is certainly going to play a big part over the next four years.”
